Manly Training

Manly Sunrise Training

This one will be short and sweet, rather unlike training the past week! Numerous hours of beatings on the sand leading to eventual exhaustion at the end of each and every day. Although it was tough, tougher than I could have prepared myself for, it was a very rewarding and somewhat enjoyable week.
It was ace to see all of the crew push to the max every day and continue to play for hours on end until we were literally struggling to stand. Dancing legs were common after our brutal Queenscliff runs especially when they were mixed with sets of stair sprints! However grueling the sessions were, it was somewhat softened by the most amazing backdrop in which we were immersed in. Manly beach definitely turned it on for us Melbournian's and as you can see from some of the pics, amazing sunrises, blue skies and super warm spring weather were all on offer.

Until next time...If you get a chance to train, do it. If you get a chance to train in Manly, definitely do it!!

Summer Is Coming

Each day the sun is lasting that little bit longer, getting that little bit warmer and we, the beach volleyball addicts are salivating at the prospects of getting back outside and enjoying the sport in its purest form, the way it was meant to be played.
No more indoor centres, frozen feet or getting up in the dark. Instead, we are pumped to be hitting the warm sand with blue skies, tan lines and endless hours of sunlight!

And while this sounds almost too good to be true, never mind, 9 days of insane training in Manly awaits...ill keep you posted as to whether I survive!
